Dave Harrell Bolo Sliders

Product Description
Designed for using more powerful 13 & 14ft rods when targeting large fish like barbel. Lets you fish deeper swims without the use of long rods which are not usually powerful enough.
This new pattern comes in sizes 6g, 8g, 10g and 12g and is designed for use in deep, moving water. To use the floats effectively, tie a stop knot above the float and use a tiny bead to stop the knot against the small bush in the line tube that runs inside the float.
Use an olivette or bulk shot around 2ft from the hook and then either no dropper shot for baits like meat or bread or one No1 or BB shot about 10in from the hook when using maggots or casters on the hook.
Fix a couple of No4 shot around 6ft from the hook to rest the base of the float against during casting. The internal tube and offset base eye then allow the line to go through quickly and you can then run the float through the swim in the same way as you do with a fixed bolo float. Remember to keep experimenting with the depth by moving the slider knot up or down.
